Keeneland September Sale Graduate Omaha Beach Earns Seller Bonus, Moves into Classic Contention with Rebel Win

March 18, 2019

Keeneland September Yearling Sale graduates swept the top four spots in the second division of Saturday’s Rebel (G2) at Oaklawn, with Omaha Beach winning by a nose over champion Game WinnerMarket King and Gunmetal Gray finished third and fourth, respectively.

Omaha Beach, a half-brother to champion and Keeneland sales graduate Take Charge Brandi, won the Rebel in his stakes debut, earning a $7,500 September Sale Seller Bonus for the victory.

The September Sale Seller Bonus Program, initiated by Keeneland in 2017, offers cash rewards to sellers (owners at the time of sale) of horses sold at the September Sale that win Grade/Group 1, 2 or 3 stakes as a 2- or 3-year-old. Sellers receive cash rewards based on the following criteria: $10,000 Seller Bonus for your first Grade/Group 1 stakes win; $7,500 for your first Grade/Group 2 win; and $5,000 for your first Grade/Group 3 victory.

Omaha Beach and Game Winner, who made his sophomore debut in the Rebel, currently rank among the top 10 point earners on the Road to the Kentucky Derby (G1) leaderboard.

On the same race card, September Sale alumnus Midnight Bisou won the Azeri (G2) over a talented field to earn her second victory in as many starts this year. She captured the Houston Ladies Classic (G3) at Sam Houston last month.

September Sale graduate America’s Tale won the Inside Information (G2) at Gulfstream on Saturday.
